Mum’s Kitchen began in 2009 when Mr. Raj Kumar Jaiswal started a small stall outside his home. His wife Mrs. Asha Jayaswal prepared 200–300 momos by hand each day, turning a simple family initiative into a growing food business. Named after his mother, Mum’s Kitchen grew through a passion for good food and the happiness it brings to customers. Over the years, the business expanded its menu, involved women from the local community who had previously worked as domestic staff, and increased production to approximately 3,000–4,000 momos. Today, Mum’s Kitchen continues to welcome customers who travel from far away to enjoy its popular momos and other delicious offerings. Looking ahead, the vision is to establish Mum’s Kitchen as a recognised brand across Bihar, bringing its flavours closer to communities so more people can enjoy them locally.
